E-Cargo is a central document and message system for paperless shipment in the cargo industry. It enables paper free and quick exchange of freight information across the entire supply chain.
Project E-Cargo
The workgroup focuses on the implementation of a multimodal E-cargo manifest speeding up operations at terminals as customs clearance could be provided before the arriving of the goods.
The workgroup E-Cargo gathers customs managers from logistics operators and service providers. In close cooperation with the national Customs Administration, the workgroup is defining a national E-Cargo manifest based on WCO standards.
The participation in the workgroup offers your company a direct and important contribution. The workgroup is opened to all corporate cluster members. The workgroup meetings are scheduled on a bi-monthly basis.

Education
Education and knowledge increasingly affect the prospects of people, companies and countries in the international competition. To meet the diverse and high demands of the world of modern logistics, qualified and motivated employees are needed. Education and training in logistics provides a decisive advantage for highly skilled staff.
The Cluster organizes conferences in schools to raise the student’s awareness for the logistics sector and inform them on career opportunities.
Project Education
The workgroup education gathers human resource managers from logistics operators and industrial companies. In cooperation with the national Ministry of Education, the workgroup is actually working on the setup of a dual education program to instruct logistics technicians. The first education course is foreseen to start in 2014.

Green Logistics
Sustainable development is of great importance in logistics and climatic developments must be part of a business strategy within responsible companies.
Project Green Logistics
The workgroup will focus on current issues of sustainability and ultimately the protection of the environment in logistics with other participants from different sectors of the industry. The workgroup Green Logistics will gather managers from logistics operators and industrial companies. The workgroup will beworking on the setup of a national green logistics strategy and focus on different aspects of green logistics:
- Alternative energies
- Reengineering of supply chains
- Multimodal transport
- Urban logistics
- …
The participation in the workgroup offers your company a direct and important impulse. The workgroup is open to all corporate cluster members. The "green" aspects of logistics from the different perspectives of companies, service providers and environmental protection associations will be considered in the meetings. The workgroup meetings are foreseen to start end of 2013 and will be scheduled on a monthly basis.

Logistics IT
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) stresses the role of unified communications and the integration of telecommunications, computers as well as necessary enterprise software, middleware, storage and audio-visual systems, which enable users to access, store, transmit, and manipulate information. ICT is fundamental to all logistics operators inside the global supply chains.
Project Logistics IT
The workshop is a collaborative project with the ICT Cluster Luxembourg. ICT specialists from the logistics industry gather with ICT specialists from the ICT sector to discuss the challenges in this industry segment.

Throughout the year, the Cluster participates in fairs, conferences, national and international meetings to promote Luxembourg as an international logistics hub.

The workgroup Marketing gathers marketing and communication managers for logistics providers. In close cooperation with the national Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, the workgroup develops the communication strategy of the Cluster and organizes all major national and international events.
